The Canadian Museum for Human Rights will have some help paying its bills.
The museum said they expect 8.2 million dollars from the federal government to cover municipal taxes for this year and past years.
Ottawa is expected to cover taxes for the future – this after estimates were tabled in parliament Thursday.
Earlier this year the museum reported they were facing a seven million dollar shortfall.
They had just settled on a tax value for the CMHR property, valued at 2.7 million each year.
The deal with the federal government still needs final approval.
