A fire early Thursday morning in Winnipeg’s West End appears to have been deliberately set.
Fire crews were called just after 12:30 a.m. to a suite in the 400 block of Toronto Street.
Winnipeg police say a fire was started in the kitchen and has been determined to be arson.
The blaze has caused close to $15,000 in damage.
No one was in the suite at the time of the blaze.
The Arson Strike Force is now investigating and is asking anyone with information on the fire or about the suspect who may have set it, to contact investigators at 204-986-6813 or Crime Stoppers at 204-786-TIPS (8477).
