A march to remember missing and murdered women was held Thursday morning.

Normally, the march is held in the evening on Valentine's Day, but this year, organizers are asked supporters to head to busy downtown intersections between 8 and 9:30 a.m.

Organizers are tying this year's march into the Idle No More movement, and are also focusing on calls for a national inquiry into missing and murdered women.

Organizers said they hope to raise awareness and apply pressure on goverment and police to invest more resources.

There are more than 600 missing or murdered women in Canada.
