More oversight is coming for the city's development wing

The mayor's Executive Policy Committee voted to increase reporting between CentreVenture and city hall.

This comes after a public spat between the mayor and CentreVenture over the convention centre expansion and True North Square.

EPC also approved a $600,000 operating grant to keep CentreVenture afloat in the short term.

The city is eyeing options to secure a long term funding solution for the agency.
