A suspect faces a murder charge for the death of a 19-year-old man on Wasagamack First Nation on May 29.
Evidence and witness reports suggest the man had been hit by a vehicle, said RCMP.
Officers were called about a man found dead on the main road in the community around 4 a.m. Wednesday.
RCMP identified the victim as Leevan Johnson Harper, 19, of Wasagamack First Nation.
Following an investigation, police arrested a suspect.
RCMP said they’ve charged Trevor Ronnie Knott, 18, with second-degree murder.
The accused and victim knew each other and had been socializing prior to the incident, said officers.
