Greg Selinger wants to put "for sale" signs on seven surface parking lots in downtown Winnipeg.
If re-elected, Selinger says his party would put the government-owned properties on the market for redevelopment.
The premier envisions commercial, retail and housing on the lots.
This is the first campaign announcement in Winnipeg made by the NDP.
The party currently has 35 of 57 candidates nominated.
Selinger says his party will field a full slate.
Election day is April 19.
