One of the worst storms in history: 50th anniversary of 1966 Manitoba blizzard

The temperatures are starting to climb and the snow is starting to melt, but that wasn’t the case 50 years ago.

On March 4, 1966, Manitoba was hit with a massive snowstorm.

It went down in history as one of the worst storms to hit the province.

Environment Canada says Winnipeg received 35 cm of snow that day.

Buses were shut down and everyone was told to stay at home.
