Police investigating St. Boniface hit and run
Winnipeg police are looking for witnesses after they say a pedestrian was hit and seriously injured by a vehicle, which then drove away.
Investigators say the hit and run took place around 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon, when a passerby observed an injured pedestrian on the ground. The victim, a woman in her 40s, was rushed to hospital in unstable condition, but later upgraded to stable condition.
A police presence was on scene late into the evening at the corner of Marion Street and Archibald Street Friday. Westbound Marion was closed to traffic until 10:15 p.m.
Investigators are now looking for a red-coloured Dodge Ram truck that was travelling northbound at the time of collision.
The Traffic Division continues to investigate. Anyone who may have seen the collision, or who has any information regarding the incident is asked to call police at 204-986-7085.
