Police release new information in missing person case

Winnipeg police released new information Thursday in a missing person case from last year.

Police said new information suggests that Robert (Bobby) Thomson, 21, was last seen during evening hours of Saturday, July 21, 2012 at the River and Osborne Liquor Mart, located at 469 Osborne Street.

Thomson was in the company of a male and female.

Family and police hope the new information will break open the case.

"Somebody knows where Bobby is. We all know he didn't disappear. Somebody knows what happened to him and we need to find him,” said Robert Thomson (senior), Bobby’s father.

Anyone with who may have had contact with Bobby Thomson in late July 2012, or who may have more information on his location, is asked to contact the missing persons unit at 204-986-6250.
