The Redwood Bridge will be completely closed to traffic starting Oct. 27 for structural steel repairs, maintenance and inspection, according to city officials.
The closure took effect Saturday morning at 6 a.m.
Drivers are advised to use alternate routes, such as the Disraeli Bridges and the Louise Bridge.
The Redwood Bridge is scheduled to reopen to traffic on Oct. 29 at 6 a.m.
