None of the so-called rebels who challenged Greg Selinger's leadership are getting back into cabinet.

Selinger shuffled his team Wednesday, bringing leadership opponent Steve Ashton back into the mix in the infrastructure portfolio.

Interlake's Tom Nevakshonoff and Mohinder Saran are now in cabinet for the first time.

Saran delivered several delegates for Selinger in Winnipeg during the leadership contest.

Stan Struthers, Theresa Oswald, Erin Selby, Jennifer Howard and Andrew Swan did not get their jobs back.

Selinger says he offered a post to one of them -- Theresa Oswald, who ran against him for the NDP leadership -- but she turned it down.

Oswald says she felt it was only fair to say no, because she is still uncertain as to whether she will run for re-election next year.

Other changes saw James Allum move to education, Gord Mackintosh move to justice and Kerri Irvin-Ross is now deputy premier.

Peter Bjornson is out after he asked to step down for personal reasons.
