It's here... Winnipeg's first notable snowfall of the fall season is underway this afternoon. Be prepared for slow and potentially slippery road conditions for the afternoon commute inside the city and on highways. Expect similar road conditions tonight and possibly for the Wednesday morning drive.
The snow started this morning in the southwest and has been slowing spreading eastward throughout the day.
Here in the city, snowfall amounts could be in the 2 to 4 cm range tonight. Areas closer to the international border could see slightly more.
That won't happen in most other regions including Winnipeg. Overnight lows will remain below freezing. Snow will taper off late this evening in Brandon and overnight in Winnipeg.
