WINNIPEG -- Strong, gusting winds and snow pounded parts of Manitoba on Tuesday morning as a strong low-pressure system rolled across the province.
Warnings and advisories were in place for several areas earlier in the day, and winds were reportedly gusting up to 70 km/h.
Environment Canada has ended most of these advisories, except for a winter storm warning for Island Lake, Oxford House and God’s Lake.
CTV News Winnipeg previously reported that a number of highways across the province were closed due to poor driving conditions; however, they have since reopened.
Highways that are open may still be covered in ice or snow or may be affected by reduced visibility in blowing snow, and caution wherever you travel Tuesday in Manitoba is recommended.
