University students in Brandon will be back to school Thursday morning, and so will their professors.

Faculty and the Board of Governors at Brandon University have reached a tentative deal in their ongoing contract dispute.

The university made the announcement just after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday.

Professors had been walking the picketline since Sept. 29, while officials from both sides worked with a conciliator to reach an agreement on wages and pensions.

Brandon University has more than 3000 students and nearly 250 faculty members.

Details of the new deal will not be released until it has been ratified.
