Thousands of strollers sold in Canadian stores have been recalled due to concerns about loose parts that could potentially cause crashes.

Health Canada said it recalled Dorel Juvenile Canada single and double occupant swivel wheel jogging strollers that have a quick release mechanism for removing and re-attaching the front wheel.

Instep, Instep Safari, Schwinn Grand Safari strollers with the following model numbers are affected:

Instep Safari TT Double Stroller 01AR266CRED

Instep Safari TT Double Stroller 01AR265

Instep Safari Deluxe Double Stroller 01153CCWU

Instep Safari Swivel Wheel Jogging Stroller 01AR180

Instep Free Wheeler Jogging Stroller 01SC701

Schwinn Grand Safari Tandem Jogging Stroller 04STAD12

The model number is found on the back of the stroller seat.

About 12,360 of these strollers were sold in stores across Canada between January 2010 and April 2016.

Health Canada said if not installed properly, the front wheel of these models can become loose and detach causing potential crash and fall hazards.

No incidents or injuries have been reported to either Dorel Juvenile Canada or Health Canada.

Anyone who bought an affected model can contact Pacific Cycle to get a free repair kit. Consumers shouldn’t return the strollers to the store where they were bought.
