A number of events have been scheduled to honour Winnipeg's Jonathan Toews, the Chicago Blackhawks captain who helped capture a Stanley Cup win last month.
Toews, 22, will be at city hall in Winnipeg on July 11 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. for a celebration.
That event will be followed at 1 p.m. by a parade that will start at Ecole Christine-Lespérance and will go to the Dakota Community Centre.
A party at the centre is scheduled to start at 2 p.m. and the public is invited to join in.
