The first baby of 2012 was born at 12:09 a.m. Sunday. After six hours of labour, Ann Rose Aulatjut gave birth to Noah Nicholas Nehemia Ishalook at Health Sciences Centre.
The 20-year-old mother is originally from Arviat, Nunavut and has been in the city since December 12. She's hoping Noah's New Years Baby status brings him good luck.
