Winnipeg's newest millionaire isn't about to stop playing the lottery. Leslie MacMillan says her wish list is larger than her $3.6 million jackpot.
"I have a couple of things that are on my list that would be bigger. Like, I couldn’t keep Andrew Ladd here with my win.” she said.
MacMillan matched all six Lotto 6-49 numbers drawn Feb. 27.
She shared the $7.2 million jackpot with a winner in B.C.
MacMillan also won $2 and $10 on that same draw.
She bought her tickets online through PlayNow.com (https://www.playnow.com/). She was notified of her winnings by email.
"There's this big, long number that I though was $36,000 and change. No, too long. $360,000 and change? Too long. And I just went, ‘Oh my God, $3 million. This is absolutely insane."
This isn't the first windfall for MacMillan. In 2004, she won $50,000 on a crossword scratch ticket.
