Health Canada has recalled a model of wooden pacifier over possible choking hazards.
BOKA pacifiers made of maple wood with silicone or latex nipples in sizes zero to six months and six to 18 months are being recalled. They were sold between April 2015 and July 2016 at a Montreal fair and online. About 6,000 of these pacifiers were sold in Canada.
Models with an engraved name are excluded from the recall.
The product was recalled because the knob handle can detach from the guard causing a potential choking hazard for young kids.
Anyone who bought the pacifiers should cut off the nipple with scissors and break the knob handle with a pair of pliers or a hammer, and throw it in the garbage.
