RCMP said two people are facing murder charges after a body was found near a lake in Wasagamack First Nation.

Police said the body of a 31-year-old man was found Oct. 20 just after 1:30 p.m. Investigators have ruled the death a homicide.

Officials said Orien Harper, 23, and Harmon Mason, 18, both from Wasagamack First Nation, were taken into custody on the same day.

They have been charged with second degree murder, and were remanded into custody.

Police said the name of the victim will not be released. An investigation is ongoing.
