Police are investigating after a 66-year-old woman was killed in a single-vehicle crash near Stonewall.

Officials said it happened at around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday on Highway 67 about five kilometres west of Stonewall.

Police said an early investigation revealed the driver of an eastbound Ford Explorer lost control of the vehicle, drove into the south ditch and rolled over.

The woman was the only person in the vehicle and was pronounced dead.

Alcohol is not believed to be a contributing factor.

Police continue to investigate.
