Forty-four Alberta firefighters are flying to Manitoba Monday to help battle wildfires burning in our province.
The Alberta government says rain and cooler temperatures here have reduced the wildfire danger to the point where its firefighters can be sent to work in other parts of the country.
The last time Alberta crews were sent to help fight Manitoba wildfires was in 2011, when three air tankers were dispatched.
