Two male youths face arson charges for a blaze that burned four homes in the 100 block of Jefferson Avenue on May 19.

Winnipeg police said damage to the four homes was pegged at $500,000. No injuries were reported.

The fire had been reported at 8:45 a.m. May 19.

Police said an investigation determined the fire had been set within a house under construction and spread to neighbouring homes.

A 16-year-old male and a 15-year-old male face multiple charges, including arson causing damage to property and arson with disregard for human life.
