Police say they have identified the male body pulled from the Red River on Thursday and notified his family.

They say an autopsy has been completed and they don’t suspect foul play. They have not released the individual’s name.

Emergency crews were called to the banks of the Red River in the 400 block of Scotia Street around 10 a.m. after reports of a body floating northbound.

The body was eventually recovered by members of the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service.
