Time is running out for politicians vying for support. Voters go to the polls in just over two weeks.
On Sunday, mayoral candidate Brian Bowman continued his efforts to ramp up support.
"Who do you want as your next mayor for Wininipeg? Do you want a new generation of leadership, with a positive vision for Winnipeg?" Bowman asked, surrounded by supporters wearing “Bowman for Mayor” t-shirts.
Bowman says he feels his campaign is showing momentum. He has endorsements from former Blue Bomber Obby Khan, provincial liberal leader Rana Bokhari and former premier Gary Filmon.
Bowman says he knows he has a lot work to do, but he feels it won't be a race to the right. Instead, it’s about earning the trust of Winnipeggers.
A CTV News/Winnipeg Free Press poll released Friday showed Judy Wasylycia-Leis leading the pack by a significant margin, with 41 per cent support. Brian Bowman placed second with 23 per cent. Gord Steeves placed third with 16 per cent.
We talked to Winnipeggers on the street if candidates could change the numbers.
