Thousands of athletes will bid adieu to the 26th edition of the Canada Games at the 2017 Canada Summer Games Closing Ceremony Sunday afternoon.
The ceremony is being called a 'Grand Summer Party' at Investors Group Field.
Games organizers said the stadium will transform into a summer festival site with a two-hour show that will celebrate the natural beauty of Manitoba and vibrant culture of Winnipeg.
Manitobans Fred Penner and Sierra Noble will perform at the show, along with country musician Brett Kissel from Alberta
The ceremony will also celebrate athletes' successes from the games and pass the torch to the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, Alberta.
The closing ceremonies begin at 2 p.m.
