The ban of dogs from the Gimli boardwalk was overturned on Wednesday night.
Gimli beach was awarded the internationally recognized blue flag eco-certification in May.
That means its well-groomed sands meet high safety and environmental standards.
A committee is being established to ensure that owners keep their dogs off the sandy beach, as Gimli’s mayor wants to uphold the certification.
