The Winnipeg Folk Festival Music Store is closing its doors Dec. 31 after serving the folk community for more than 30 years.

It opened its first location in 1982 in Osborne called Homemade Music.

On Thursday, the store announced its closing through social media.

In a blog post, they said that they’ve seen declining revenues over the years as a result of change in music-buying trends.

For the rest of the month, the store will be having a blowout sale on all their merchandise.
