A gas leak in Charleswood forced some residents out of their homes early Wednesday morning.
The call came into Winnipeg fire just after 4 a.m.
A fire official said a car hit the gas meter and separated it from the wall on a house on the 700 block of Buckingham Road.
Those inside that home and both neighbouring houses had to leave the area while crews managed the situation.
Manitoba Hydro pinched off the line and a team will work to fix the damages throughout the day.
Police are also on scene to investigate.
There is no word on when the fixes will be done.
