A convenience store manager wants to find a man he says tried to rob his store Sunday night.

Staff at A-Plus Convenience and Foods say a man entered the Keewatin Street store at closing time.

Surveillance video shows a man wearing a face mask and hoodie approach the employees.

He took out a knife and hammer and demanded cash and cigarettes, said staff.

One of the employees was threatened. Video shows that same staff member chasing the alleged robber out of the store, after grabbing a bat to scare him off.

"It was so scary, so we don't know how to react. So we call 911 and they came up and they took the finger prints and everything of that guy," said manager Parth Patel.

The store says it filed a report with officers.

Police were unable to provide any further information.
