A 47-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving early Tuesday morning.
Police said they observed a Suzuki Aerio swerving across the centre road line in the area of Kilbride Avenue and McKenzie Street.
Officers attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver continued driving southbound at a high rate of speed. Police pursued the vehicle until it collided with a snow bank at Richardson Avenue McCurdy Street.
Officers arrested the lone male occupant who has since been detained at the Provincial Remand Centre.
