Winnipeg police have arrested two people following a string of robberies and assaults on Pembina Highway.

On July 22, 2017 at 10:55 p.m., a 25-year-old woman was at a restaurant in the 2700 block of Pembina Highway, when she was assaulted by another female, police said. The victim suffered minor injuries.

Around 11 p.m., police said a 16-year-old male was riding his bicycle in the area of Pembina Highway and Dalhousie Street when he was confronted by male and female suspects.

The 16-year-old was knocked off his bike, and police said the assault continued while the victim was on the ground.

The suspects fled stealing the victim’s bicycle and personal property. The victim was taken to a hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

At 11:45 p.m., a fourth victim, an adult female in her forties, was at a retail store in the 2100 block of Pembina Highway.

She was confronted by a male and female who demanded her phone.

Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit were in the area investigating the three previous incidents and were able to arrest the two suspects as they were attempting to rob the victim.

Tonisha Shylene Favel, 21, and Matthew John Delorme,23, now face robbery and assault charges.

They both remain in custody.
