The cool and rainy weather didn’t stop Portage la Prairie from celebrating Pride for the second straight year.
Co-organizer Josh Wright said hundreds of people gathered to celebrate diversity and march in solidarity for the rights of all people.
"I think our message today is to keep on collectively creating safe spaces in our community so that everyone can be themselves and keep on living and loving every day of their lives. The gathering was beautiful and heartwarming," Wright said.
The city hosted its first Pride march last August.
