With the year coming to a close, staff at the provincial government have released lists of the most popular baby names in Manitoba for 2014.
Olivia, Emma and Sophia took the top three spots for girls, and Liam, Noah and Logan were most popular for boys.
Spots four through ten for girls names are Emily, Ava, Chloe, Avery, Abigail, Isabella and Madison.
Ethan, Mason, Lucas, James, Jacob, Jackson and Hunter round out the top ten names for boys.
The list isn’t quite official because some recent births may not have been registered yet.
To this point there have been 15,446 births registered in Manitoba in 2014.
