Tickets for an annual event that features a pop-up restaurant on the frozen waters at The Forks are set to go on sale this weekend.

RAW:almond will run Jan. 20 to Feb. 13, 2017. It will feature a mix of 26 new and returning chefs from Winnipeg and across Canada preparing a five-course tasting menu over the three-week event.

The food and the design of the temporary restaurant will be organized by deer + almond chef Mandel Hitzer and designer Joe Kalturnyk.

Tickets are set to go on sale on December 11 at 9 a.m. with a live, personalized ticket launch event at The Forks Market. Those buying tickets will pull a number instead of standing in line. Doors open at 7 a.m.

Online tickets will go one sale Dec. 12 on the RAW:almond website.

There are 2,500 individual tickets available for 63 seatings over 21 days. Full 20-seat table sales are also available.

Tickets are $125 plus a 17 per cent tip and 13 per cent in taxes.
