The body of a person was found at an outdoor location on God's Lake First Nation Sunday, about 1,040 km northeast of Winnipeg.
RCMP said the sudden death is under investigation and an autopsy has been ordered.
The person has not yet been positively identified.
RCMP did not say whether the body was that of a man or a woman.
