Section of Highway 8 closed after head-on collision

Part of Highway 8 was closed after an early morning crash, RCMP say.

Emergency crews were called to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 8 near Gimli around 3:40 a.m. Friday.

RCMP said the two vehicles collided head-on. There is no word on injuries.

One kilometre of Highway 8 was closed, about three kilometres from Highway 231, northwest of Gimli.
