Housing advocates held a rally to raise awareness about the need for more social housing on Saturday.
Organizers placed dozens of cardboard boxes on the steps on the Legislative Building to draw attention to the issue.
The little houses represent the need for 300 units of social housing per year in Manitoba.
The rally was organized by Right to Housing, a Winnipeg-based coalition calling on parties to support more affordable housing across Manitoba.
"Even though the current government has been building affordable and social housing for several years, it hasn't begun to meet the need," said Clark Browlee.
All the political parties were invited to the rally to share plans on how to improve social housing.
