Two overnight garage fires in St. Vital do damage to home

Two garage fires early Sunday morning did damage to a home in St. Vital, fire officials said.

Officials said calls came in about two garage fires around 4:45 a.m.

They said the fires broke out at separate garages, one at 222 Greenwood Ave., and the other at 186 Hazelwood Cres., both near St. Vital Centre.

Officials said there was damage to the front of the Hazelwood home. The damage estimate is unknown.

There were no injuries reported, and the cause of both fires is under investigation.
