Seven people from Sandy Bay First Nation, Manitoba face drug charges after RCMP searched a home and a business in the area.

Early Friday morning Amaranth RCMP executed a search warrant at a house in the 200 block of Centre Road on Sandy Bay First Nation. A second warrant was issued for a business the 100 block of Kinosota Road in Amaranth, Manitoba.

Police seized approximately 14 grams of cocaine, cash, and paraphernalia from the home. A cell phone was also seized from the business.

Bronson Howard Spence, 24, Donald Bernard Spence, 30, Marie Agnes Spence, 52, Renee Mae Spence, 18, Wayne Michael Spence, 26, Marcella Anne McIvor, 43 and Nicholas Arthur Larkins, 22, all of Sandy Bay First Nation, Manitoba, are charged with possession of proceeds of crime and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking, said RCMP.

Bronson Howard Spence was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, May 20. The rest of the charged were released on a promise to appear in court on Tuesday, June 17.
