Acting on tips from the public, Brandon police made one of their largest drug busts to date Tuesday.

They raided a home in the Brentwood Trailer Court and seized 4.5 kg of marijuana with a street value of $32,000.

No one was home at the time, but on Wednesday Dustin Bradley George Colon of Brandon turned himself in. He is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Police made another arrest on Thursday.

They arrested 31-year-old Kevin Kefton Taylor at his home on a warrant for trafficking cocaine.

Officers also executed a search warrant at his residence. They recovered the following:

  • 4 lbs of Benzocaine
  • 137 grams of Cannabis Marihuana
  • 60 grams of Cocaine
  • 1.65 grams of Psilocybin
  • $1000 in cash
  • packaging material
  • ammunition
  • a prohibited weapon - a stun gun

Taylor will be facing additional charges as a result of the seizures.

Both men were arrested as part of Project Brouhaha, a yearlong operation that targeted drug dealers in Brandon.

So far Brandon police have arrested 12 people. There is one suspect involved in the operation who is still on the loose.
