Thousands more Manitobans declined their ballots during this provincial election than during the 2011 contest, Elections Manitoba said.
Over 4,000 ballots were declined during Manitoba’s 41st provincial election, up from 440 ballots in 2011.
Meantime, 109,000 Manitobans cast their votes during the eight days of advance polling. That’s 31,000 more than in the 2011 provincial election.
In total, 438,537 Manitobans hit the polls. That’s a 58 per cent voter turnout.
