A full roster of federal party candidates will be vying for votes in Winnipeg's Elmwood-Transcona riding.
Incumbent Conservative Lawrence Toet, Daniel Blaikie for the NDP, Andrea Richardson-Lipon for the Liberal Party and Kim Parke for the Green Party are running to win the riding.
If the 2011 election tells us anything, this will be a close race.
Lawrence Toet won his seat last time by only a few hundred votes.
This year, he is running against Daniel Blaikie, son of Bill Blaikie, who was the NDP MP for close to 30 years.
One Elmwood-Transcona constituent, Norm Norris, has not yet decided which way he wants to vote.
To help make up his mind, he sent a list of 14 questions to every candidate, hoping for a reply.
Norris said it’s been about a month without a reply from anyone.
“How are we to decide on the candidates if they will not respond to our questions?” asked Norris on Monday.
Norris is now making sure he’s prepared for when a candidate comes knocking at his door.
He’s written his questions on a cue card and carries it in his pocket everywhere he goes.
Canvassers with a strategic voting campaign also had their eyes on Elmwood-Transcona.
Members of Lead Now went door-to-door in the riding Monday night to encourage people to vote strategically for the person most likely to beat the conservative candidate.
