In a statement, Manitoba's Transportation and Infrastructure Minister Lisa Naylor said the provincial snow removal crews are ready to go.
"Crews are monitoring highway conditions and will deploy as needed," Naylor said in the statement.
She said the province has a fleet of 340 truck plows, motor graders and de-icing equipment, which maintains 19,000 kilometres of provincial roads.
She asked Manitoba drivers to keep their eyes out for the blue flashing lights of snow-clearing equipment, and give them lots of space out on the roads.
