The riding of Saint Boniface went to Conservative incumbent Shelly Glover, according to unofficial election results Monday night.

It had been a Liberal stronghold with Raymond Simard serving as MP from 2002-2006. He was defeated by Glover in the 2008 election.

Simard ran again this election against her.

"This is a historic moment…a Conservative has never been re-elected in Saint Boniface, but we care about these people and that's why we will win three, four, five times," Glover told supporters.

Along with Simard and Glover, the Green's Marc Payette and the NDP's Patrice Miniely ran in the riding.
