A push is on to ban posters from public property in Winnipeg.
The cities business improvement zones say the posters can be visually offensive and unsightly.
They say glue used to attach posters can cause damage to streetscape enhancements, so they want them limited to designated kiosks.
It’s asking city council to pass a new law that would outline penalties for postering on public and private property.
