Craig Street Cats held a barbeque, fundraiser and open house to help raise cash and awareness for the city’s feral cat problem.
The event was coordinated as part of National Feral Cat Day.
Shelter officials said Winnipeg has between 50,000 and 100,000 feral cats. The shelter itself looks after more than 100 cats at any given time.
The shelter also coordinates care for an additional 500 cats throughout the city.
