It wasn't eating too much sugar that sent one St. Boniface couple into a panic on Halloween.
A man believed he lost his wedding ring dolling out treats.
"I was it must have dropped into a kid’s bag as I was putting candy in,” said Ray Warden.
Warden and his wife Charissa say they took their panic to Facebook, asking in a post for people to check their loot and see if the ring was inside.
The post received hundreds of shares from strangers.
Luckily, the ring was not lost in a big bag of chocolates. They found it on their front yard, a happy Halloween ending to a scary situation.
"He almost looked like a ghost. His face was so pale, and he kind of stumbled the words out. He did not know what to say,” said Charissa. “I didn't give him any trouble. He's still alive today. He's okay."
The wardens say they are very thankful to everyone who helped search for the wedding band.
They say they could have replaced it, but it means everything to them and a new one wouldn't have been the same.
