Officers in Brandon said they received a report that a nine-year-old girl had been possibly sexually assaulted by a suspect staying at a residence in February.
Police said an ongoing investigation led to the arrest of a male suspect on April 17.
A 19-year-old Brandon man is set to appear in court on June 11 on sexual assault charges.
