RCMP are on the scene of a crash between a semi and a pickup truck that sent one person to hospital.
Police said it happened at around 7 a.m. Thursday morning on Highway 2 west of Souris, Man.
The Mounties said the pickup truck veered across the centre line and collided with the semi.
STARS Air Ambulance said it transported the man driving the pickup truck to Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. STARS said the man sustained multiple serious injuries.
The driver of the semi was not injured.
Police said the highway is closed as officers continue to investigate.
They said alcohol doesn’t appear to have been a factor, and they don’t yet know whether the drivers were wearing seatbelts.
